Northfield's pickleball community is centered on four dedicated outdoor courts at Riverside Lions Park, supported by an active local association, seasonal leagues, and indoor play at the Northfield Area Family YMCA. The city also has four lined tennis courts at Northfield Middle School.

Northfield Area Family YMCA, 1501 Honeylocust Drive, offers one indoor net on half of the gym for adults 18 and older. From September through May, play runs Monday and Wednesday from 9 a.m. to noon and Friday from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Summer hours are Monday, Wednesday, and Friday from 6 to 8 a.m., plus Monday and Friday from 1 to 3 p.m. Members play free, nonmembers use a day pass, and participants bring a partner.
